Pastors Weekly Update

Hills View Update for Sunday, July 23, 2017

Posted by Chris Bailey on July 21, 2017 @ 9:21 AM

Good Morning Hills View!  We hope this finds you all well and in the shade at least!

Thank you to all that served (ministered) last week at Hills Alive and with the Building project by cleaning and painting (more detail below)- and the week to week worship service prep and actual celebration!  Thank you to all that will help with the church picnic next week and the Vacation Bible School coming up!  We are blessed and grateful that you choose to serve and worship our Lord with us at Hills View!

We are excited about this Sunday!  We will jump back into our Riches In Christ series with a sermon titled:  God Approved.  This will come from Ephesians 5:3-4.  This is a section talking about how sexual immorality is incompatible with Christianity.  Remember Paul is now talking about how the truths of ourselves in Christ, will manifest themselves in the normal day to day activities of our day.  We will be talking about sex - Just giving you parents a heads up! (Of course nothing inappropriate or as the Scripture calls 'not fitting'.)

Reminder:  Only One Worship Service Next Week @ 10am!  Followed by our annual Church Picnic!  This will at the church this year and we are providing and cooking the burgers and brats and hot dogs and buns!  You can bring the rest (condiments, chips, drink to share, etc) of the Picnic meal!  Thanks!

(1 Corinthians 1:30But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God - and righteousness and sanctification and redemption.
